DR. (Doctor of Philosophy PhD)
He is currently a visiting professor at University of St Paul – Ottawa and a Visiting Research Scholar at the department of History at the University of Colombo. He has presented more than 25 research papers at various international forums and contributed to several academic books. His recent publications include The Buddhist Monks and the Politics of Lanka’s Civil War (Equinox – UK), and Post -War Militancy of Sinhala Saṅgha: Reasons and Reactions (Oxford University Press (North America) [co-edited].
Dr Raghavan is the Chairperson and National Director of Colombo School for Critical Studies. He loves cinema and worked as jury member for number of cinema festivals including the OCIC, South Indian Film Federation and Asian Cinema Centre. He organized the highly successful Indian Film Festival in Colombo. Raghavan plays the saxophone (Alto).
